Medstock Transparent Film (Extra Thin) Dressing is a transparent highly permeable adhesive polyurethane film
- Transparent and waterproof
- Allows for faster healing and avoids maceration by retaining natural wound exudates and allowing excess exudates to evaporate
- It can stay on for up to 7 days depending on level of exudate
- It provides protection against friction and shearing
- It provides protection against contamination and bacteria as it is impermeable to water and body fluids allowing area to be washed
- It is thin and flexible with good viscosity
- It does not roll up on the skin and is easy to remove, minimising pain
- Does not leave adhesive on the skin post removal
- Ideal for retention and island dressings
- Suitable on dry to low exudate wounds only
